Terms of service
The website www.icelandguest.com is the booking portal of Iceland Guest, which is owned and operated by Nordic Visitor Ehf., a fully licensed Icelandic travel agency located at Bríetartún 13, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland (registration no. 690405-0590). Both Iceland Guest and Nordic Visitor are fully authorized by the Icelandic Tourist Board.
The following booking conditions shall govern all bookings with Iceland Guest. In these booking conditions, “you” and “your” refers to persons named on the booking and “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Iceland Guest. Any booking made or order placed by you, whether through the company’s website or through other means, shall be deemed as an offer by you to purchase the relevant package or other travel products and are subject to these booking conditions.
No contract between you and Iceland Guest shall come into existence until we accept full payment and issues a confirmation invoice. The person initiating the booking (you) accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the travelling party and is responsible for all payment due from the party. Booking services with Iceland Guest are currently only available to persons who are at least 18 years old.
By submitting a booking, you warrant and confirm to us that you comply with these arrangements.
Booking Confirmation, Invoices & Ticket Delivery
After booking products with Iceland Guest and making full payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the details about the products purchased and PDF tickets for the purchased products and services attached.
All tickets must be presented to the service provider upon commencement of your booked product.
Iceland Guest does not accept responsibility for mislaid or lost documents.
All prices for holiday packages on www.icelandguest.com are listed in Icelandic Króna (ISK). Likewise, all purchases are charged in ISK and all refunds are issued in ISK. Iceland Guest accepts no responsibility for any fluctuations in currency exchange rates that might occur from the time of a booking until a refund is issued.
Terms of payment
For day tours in Iceland, Iceland Guest charges the full amount due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diner´s and Discovery).
Special offers - terms and conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all special offers on our website in conjunction with our standard booking terms for all Icelandguest.com holiday packages:
- Applies to new bookings only
- Not valid in combination with any other discounts or promotions
- Valid only for standard tours as listed on the website -- not for any upgrades or customizations
- Discount will be deducted from the total price at time of booking
Changes & Cancellation
If you wish to change or cancel your day tour in Iceland, please contact Iceland Guest as soon as possible. We follow the cancellation policies as set forth by our local tour operators, so the amount of refund varies by tour. In most cases, we can offer a full refund if we receive your cancellation request with sufficient advance notice, preferably two weeks or more before the tour departure date. However, please note that we are unable to fully refund any services or products that include airfare.
We strongly recommend that all our clients take out comprehensive travel insurance to avoid dispute in the event of cancellation.
Validity of prices
All rates quoted or shown in our tariffs are based on current prices and are subject to change without notice in the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes or any such cost increase that is beyond Iceland Guest’s control. If an incorrect price has been posted in error, we reserve the right to refuse, cancel, amend or limit any order placed at the incorrect price.
Iceland Guest reserves the right to notify you of any increase to prices already published in our pricelists, brochures or website. Any eventual changes in rates will not be made without at least eight weeks’ notice.
After the final invoice has been issued, the price is guaranteed against any surcharge, unless an increase is due to government laws or currency changes. In such an instance, Iceland Guest will absorb an amount equivalent to 5% of the package price. Amounts exceeding 5% will be charged to you, but should the surcharge exceed 10%, you will be entitled to cancel your booking with a full refund.
Iceland Guest claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike or any other cause beyond our control. Iceland Guest acts in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any agent, hotel, coach operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults or delays.
Iceland Guest reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. In the case of any changes to flights (domestic and international), the customer is responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of such changes (i.e., additional hotel nights, meals, transfers, etc.), at the time provided. Furthermore, all optional activities and day tours are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
We strongly advise all clients to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
Iceland Guest aims to provide outstanding customer service and, in order to do so, we maintain strict quality monitoring. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your vacation package, we want to hear about it. We recommend notifying us as soon as any incident arises. If you are unable to do so at the time, you must advise us in writing within 30 days of your return. Failure to do so may jeopardize your claim to compensation.
